CHTS Studs for Thin Stainless Steel

Series PEM
Cross Reference
Material Finish
CRM SMTSO Carbon Steel Eeltro Tin Plated,
ASTM B545, Class A
w/ Preservative Coating

Captive Series CHTS Studs provide a strong, flush-head assembly in stainless steel sheet material as thin as .040 in. (1.0 mm).

The heat-treated 400 Series stainless steel studs may be installed with a standard shop press and provide high torque-out and pushout performance in materials with a Rockwell Hardness of B-92 or less.

The studs are available in inch and metric sizes ranging from 4-40 to 5/16-18 and M3 to M8, and are passivated per ASTM A380 specifications. Typical applications for heat-treated stainless studs are found in the assembly of medical devices and other fabricated stainless steel equipment used for indoor use.
