TCH Celebrates 40 years of commitment to service and growth

TCH is excited to have reached its 40-year anniversary. Originally operating as a division of Trans-Canada Door Ltd., TCH was launched in the fall of 1976 by founder Les Mandelbaum in Toronto as asupplier of parts for heavy-duty, custom “road” cases and speaker cabinets.

Company milestones

1981 – TCH incorporated as its own entity

 

1987 – First Buffalo location opens up at Old Bethlehem Steel building

 

1989 – Buffalo warehouse moves to Broadway, current home of Umbra

 

1995 - 10,000 square-foot warehouse in Dallas opens its doors and in just four years is expanded to a 30,000 square-foot facility.

 

2000 – Buffalo warehouse relocates to current William Street facility

 

2005 - TCH Foam division in Cleveland Ohio is acquired.

 

2009 - Foam fabrication division plant is integrated into a warehouse location in Buffalo effectively consolidating operations with the hardware division.

 



TCH Celebrates 40 years of commitment to service and growth


2012 - Rush Electronics Limited (Rush), a Canadian distributor is acquired, representing over 30 hardware manufacturers like Captive Fasteners and Southco. The same year, TCH joins Stabilus as distribution partner for industrial gas springs and motion control devices.

 

2014 - Waterjet technology is added which allows for quick turnaround times for sample and short run productions.

 

2015 – Adds CNC router, acquires Connector Solutions Industrial Sales (CSIS), master distributor of interconnect devices, based in Baie D’Urfe, Quebec and is appointed master distributor in North America of Boteco, a leading manufacturer of handles, knobs and levers.

 


TCH currently fulfills orders to its customers out of 5 facilities across North America from its Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Buffalo and Dallas locations.
